They gather together in shades and colors creating crescendos and decrescendos." ~ Gene Hempel Lines created a visual language for Gene Hempel to express himself and his ideas. He layered lines, colors and shades to define movement, mood and subject - creating visual music. This set of slides is a sample of the variety of subjects that caught the artist's eye during the 1970s.
